Your Peer Group Coaches

What's Included

2x/year In-Person "Peer Group Retreats"

One near your coach's office and one at a member’s site. These 2.5 day retreats with your Peer Group provide amazing energy, sharing of great ideas, problem-solving, systems sharing, and accountability. These two retreats are the highest value and most important part of Peer Group membership.

Quarterly 1on1 Coaching Calls with your Coach

These meetings will help you with customized 1on1 coaching and advice to drive your business forward. Peer Group members find these 1on1 coaching calls extremely valuable and helpful.

Monthly Peer Group-Wide Deep Dive Training

Once a month, all peer group members come together for a live Zoom deep-dive training session focused on one critical area of your remodeling business. You'll walk away with practical tools and ideas you can put to work immediately, and you'll hear how your peers across the country are approaching the same challenges you are.

10x/year "Report to Board" Zoom Calls

For continued accountability, financial clarity, and reenergized focus. These meetings are with your full group via Zoom and happen in between the peer group retreats.

Your Personal Coach

Your coach/leader/facilitator of the Peer Group (Kyle Hunt or one of the trusted Remodelers On The Rise Coaches) will be focused on delivering you VALUE! All meetings will be proactive prepped and organized, we'll be focused on developing great relationships with each other, elevating the level of conversation, focusing on RESULTS and improvements, and having a lot of fun along the way.

Peer Group-Wide Book Club

Great leaders are great learners! Each season, peer group members across all of the groups read the same business book together and gather to discuss it as a larger Peer Group Community. It's designed to spark some new ideas and help energize your business!

Friday Five Resources

Every Friday, peer group members receive an idea, template, or real-world example pulled straight from what other members are actually using in their businesses. Each one is designed to be absorbed in five minutes or less and implemented right away. It's a simple, consistent way to keep learning from your peers in-between meetings!

Frequently Asked Questions

Time Commitments

1-2 Hours per week would be a good average, more as you prepare for our in-person retreats, and more if you lack accounting help or are still learning your numbers. You will also start to spend more time working on the business, educating yourself, and implementing systems you learn from your Peer Group and from the 1on1 meetings with Kyle. You’ll also find yourself attending and learning from some of the Remodelers VIP Club training that is available to you and your team.

In the first year, you will spend more time initially and then less as you implement our systems and figure things out. Like most things, you get out of it what you put into it. Bring good ideas to share, ask thoughtful questions, reach out when you are struggling, and implement what you’re learning – you’ll see awesome results and progress!

Basic requirements include getting prepared for our Zoom meetings each month that we don’t have our in-person retreat and preparing for our 2 in-person retreats per year (preparing a financial update, progress update, a talking point for the meeting, and reviewing your Peer Groups members updates.) We expect our members to be active, to be present, and to contribute to the group – this requires some 5P work!

Our in-person peer group retreats are 2.5 days long twice a year. These meetings are critical and valuable.

You will likely have to commit to some heavy lifting at first, but that’s a normal part of the growth process. You will quickly learn techniques to delegate smarter, to recruit and hire smarter and easier, and to hone your strategy to make the business easier to run. You will learn how to manage your time better and shift to working more “on” the business. Over time, our members gain more discretionary time for travel or other endeavors, and they end up loving their job/company more.

Group & Meeting Structure

Groups will have a maximum of 12 companies. It’s your board of advisors. Members will be trained by the Coach to encourage, motivate, and root each other on. And the group will have an uplifting, helpful, and fun tone and feel to it.

If they are a fellow owner of the company, the answer is yes. This is also something your Coach will want to discuss with you to make sure the fit is solid. There is an annual fee of $800 to have a second person participate in your Peer Group membership (this offsets some of the hard costs of food, meeting space, etc.)

We place you in a group where you have no competitors (geographic overlap) and where your revenue and interests are within range of your peers. We place you where we think you will be a good fit, able to gain value and add value. It’s part science and part art.

All our meetings are very structured; you can expect to get a lot of value for your time invested. Yes, we have fun during our in-person meetings, especially at night, but the actual meeting agendas are detailed and kept on-time. We do make time for brainstorming, breakout groups, and open sharing on key topics, but that is all part of the agenda. You will be very happy with how much we get accomplished!

Expected Results

You will be able to shift to working more on the business and gain more discretionary time in the process. You will better understand how to “manage by the numbers” and thus have better financial results! This includes becoming a master at pricing and job costing your work for improved profit. Personally, you will find more joy and confidence at work.

You will easily see ROI in the first year, probably by the first in-person retreat. We will point out low-hanging fruit, starting right away at our first meeting with you. Financial improvement will be a main focus and we will focus on improvements in revenue/gross profit/and net profit. Focused effort on marketing and sales will lead to improved leads and sales conversion. Focused effort on leadership will reduce turnover and increase the productivity of your team. There are many usable ideas shared at every meeting that, when implemented, will pay for your yearly investment quickly.

We ask for a year commitment when you join. After that, this is an open commitment. Once you connect well with your group and see what a positive impact it has on your business and life, plan to stay committed and you will truly prosper. Members join to get help with their business, and they stay because of the deep bonds they make with their peers. The friendships we’ve seen develop from peer groups continue to amaze me.

We do this through strategic planning, with each member reporting back on their progress at each meeting. It’s very powerful. Along the way, we review your financial performance and give you feedback. We’ve also embedded Quarterly 1on1 Coaching Calls with your Coach to enhance personalized feedback and accountability.

Other Questions

Your Coach is active in our group chats and email threads, answering questions and giving input. He leads live group Zoom meetings and will lead your In-Person Retreats. As part of your Peer Group membership, there are a set number of 1on1 coaching calls that you will have with your coach as well.

You should have a deep thirst for knowledge and learning; the business acumen will follow. You must treat your company as a business, not a hobby, and be committed to reading/listening to the business books and training we advise you to read/consume. If you are open to learning how to manage your business professionally and by the numbers, your business skills will grow.

It’s like earning your MBA in remodeling: from finance to sales to marketing to leadership and operations. The benefits include learning from those who have done what you want to do, making use of industry-leading training/coaching, and building connections with like-minded professionals (who will turn into friends.) The experience is enhanced with behind-the-scenes tours of your peers’ facilities each year. The overarching benefit is a renewed excitement and joy of ownership, and significantly raising the value of your business
